Background
Supernanny wanted to increase their online exposure and apply their parenting advice beyond the popular TV show's fan base.
Challenge
Supernanny did not appear on the 1st page of Google or other major search engines for any generic keywords relating to parenting, such as:
- parenting advice
- parenting skills
- naughty mat
- messy fun
Without any online exposure under generic key terms, the only sources of traffic to the site were the fan base of the TV show and anyone who searched for the term 'Supernanny.'
Solution
Halpern Cowan began a strategic link building operation to position the website under search terms such as 'parenting advice' and 'parenting skills.' This included building anchor text links from high quality and relevant websites, and optimising the site to be relevant for a variety of keywords.
Results
Supernanny is now positioned on the 1st page of Google for a variety of targeted search terms. Traffic sources to the site now include generic key search terms, as well as the expanding fan base of the TV show, which has led to an increase in visitors of 25%.
