Principal Hayley
Background
Principal Hayley is a chain of hotels and conference venues located throughout the UK and Europe. They understand the importance of digital marketing and reached out to Halpern Cowan to work with them to increase their website traffic and booking conversions.
Challenge
At the beginning of our partnership, Principal Hayley did not appear in the top ten results on Google.co.uk for any relevant keywords, including the branded names of their individual hotels.
Solution
The search team optimised the Principal Hayley website with a mixture of keywords and content to target hotel keywords for their Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, London and Sheffield locations.
In addition, we undertook a vigorous link building strategy to increase the brand's online exposure under generic keywords and drive more traffic to the site, resulting in increased online bookings and revenue for the properties.
Finally, the SEO team adopted a brand strategy for on and off the page SEO and PPC in 5 key city center hotels. The plan's primary focus included hotel names as brand strategy, and now have expanded to include secondary generic keywords such as "hotel in __".
Results
Together, Principal Hayley and Halpern Cowan have achieved dramatic results, including capturing 1st page positions on major search engines such as Google for the majority of target keywords. We've also seen a massive increase in both website traffic and bookings since achieving these positions.
