Landings St. Lucia

Background

Landings is an environmentally friendly hotel and spa located in the Caribbean. They asked us to help them meet their competition head on and become the top destination for St. Lucia resort stays and weddings.

Challenge

In March of 2009, the Landings St Lucia brand suffered from a low level of internet traffic, limited online brand exposure and a minimal website conversion rate.

Solution

Our SEO team got to work; we implemented a low cost, short term PPC campaign to obtain ‘real estate' on the first page of Google under the following key search terms:

  • Luxury hotel st lucia
  • St lucian spa
  • St lucia villa(s)
  • St lucia resort(s)

On average, the volume of searches for these terms totals 59,262 per month. Landings was therefore missing out on 59,262 potential customers on a monthly basis because of their limited online visibility.

Simultaneously, Halpern Cowan search engine optimised the Landings site to appear on the 1st page of Google under the specific keywords listed above. The goal of this was to drive quality traffic to the site (i.e. customers willing to make a booking).

Finally, the SEO team utilised blog reviews and user generated content to promote the Landings brand online.

Results

We have promoted the Landings brand to the 1st page of major search engines for all their targeted searches.
